It does not have ruched sides but it is very stretchy all around (and extremely warm!) so while it works perfectly for a baby bump, you can also wear this post partum comfortably without feeling like you're still in maternity clothing. I purchased this as a duplicate item so while the tags have been removed, the item has not been worn or laundered and is still in original condition.
