samrorah @nycjenz hi there! yes the waist is stretchy! I am actually 4 mo pregnant and bought these a couple months ago when I started needing more room but didn't want actual maternity clothes haha. they've been great, but I just quit my job so don't need them anymore. the waist is about 14 in across, so true 28W, and about 28 in inseam, perfect for petites without being too short. I'm 5'2" and they looked just how they did on the model
