Our local jeweler wants to charge $65 to size a sterling ring up a 1/2 size, and that more than some of my rings cost, so was looking for a silversmith with reasonable pricing. boholuxury @sunbursthancock Hello, without stepping on your local jewelers toes, that does sound a bit high for a sterling half-size, If the ring has a simple shank. Sometimes with more delicate stones or more challenging work, metalsmiths charge more because the work is more complex. Also, when the service is "Boutique" ~that is there aren't very many others offering it around, some metalsmiths will charge more because they are in high demand.
