Is there a snap under the buckle or do you have to unbuckle it to open? Also, any smell to it?

@dgthomas sorry just woke up and I received a notification it was purchased on a different app. It only has the buckle and it has be done each time to open and close. I found that unless the bag was full, the buckle kept coming undone. (Just thought you’d want to know if you like the style and find another listing.)
