Abacus Originals Necklace from South Africa

I purchased this as a "statement" necklace, and oh what a statement it makes. Wearing it is not for the faint of heart. It is 38 glorious strands of glass and wood beading. It has the signature button closure of vintage Abacus Originals. When stretched out flat the necklace measures about 32" long. Abacus Originals was founded in 1985 to give the women in the Sudan area of Africa to empower women through the art of beadwork, and it continues until today.
