chicnstyle Hi, do you have the COA for this item? All Abas wallets include an embossed stamp that also authenticates it as genuine alligator - can you include a picture of that? The reason I ask is I’ve been looking for one in black but the hide on this wallet looks to be embossed calfskin leather?

brittanyborrg @chicnstyle Hi! Unfortunately I do not. My aunt recently passed and left me a bunch of her treasures so I don’t have original receipts or COA. What I do know is that this is an older model with the silver hardware (that I don’t believe they sell anymore). I figured this question might come up so I’m thinking it might be best to get it authenticated. Let me work on that and I can get back to you! Thanks so much for your message by the way.

chicnstyle I believe it’s inside the expandable compartment and it would say “genuine alligator”. What you showed is the Abas embossed logo. Abas only transitioned to an exclusively genuine hide line a few years ago. Prior to that, all of their items were embossed calfskin leather and very reasonably priced. Their decision to abandon that strategy has made it virtually impossible for everyday people to afford their products 😢😢

I did not know this about the brand and I really appreciate you educating me. If you are interested, knowing this is calfskin, I’m happy to sell it to you at a fair price.

brittanyborrg @chicnstyle I emailed the company and they responded literally immediately. Excellent customer service and he asked me to send pictures. He verified that these are much older models and were made with Italian calf leather!
