It just learning how to cook all over again! :) thank you for sharing everything you did on my page. How did you find out in the beginning that you had the autoimmune disease? It took me so long!

salenalu Hey there! @andrea_27s I keep meaning to write you back but it's been crazy around here. My daughter is super sick and I just can't kick these migraines. I know somewhere you asked me what the fibro treatment is. It's guiefeassin, it breaks down calcium phosphate in the body. It's sold over the counter in mucinex. Honestly, the best way to learn about is to go to the website www.fibromylagiatreatment.com, his books on amazon are great too. If you called over there - I wonder if he knows of a doctor in Texas that treats with gueifisessin - because I know he's not the only doctor to treat with it. But he is the one that discovered it. Anyway, it took them a long time to diagnose me with lupus. I was 18 and just so sick for months. I was misdiagnosed 3 times before they finally did an ANA blood panel on me and my results were off the charts for lupus. By that time, I could hardly move because of the joint pain and I had kidney and liver involvement. I didn't get diagnosed with fibro until after I had my daughter 8 years later. Like you, I have also stayed away from all of the anti depressants that they prescribe for fibro. They are scary drugs and they don't work! I shared my story with you because Dr. St. Amand is the only doctor who has been able to help me manage my pain with fibro. I was bed ridden before doing his treatment. And the treatment actually reverses the disease - it is not a drug to mask the pain. Anyway, I really pray that you can find a treatment that works for you. If you ever want to talk autoimmune - I'm here! And honestly, the trip to see Dr. St. Amand is worth it. Last time I was in his office, there was a woman who flew in from Australia to see him. He is the real deal. 💜 Anyway, it was great talking to you - I hope you have a great week!

salenalu Thanks so much! @tinalalinaa. You are too kind! I'm sorry I didn't get back to you - I didn't see this until now. If I had a personal chef, I wouldn't mind being a vegan at all! I love my veggies more than meat usually, but my hubby is the exact opposite!! He needs his meat and cheese. 😁. If it were just me, I would be a pescatarian for sure! But my daughter does have a dairy allergy - so we are always finding alternative ways to make her favorite foods. She's only 4....anyway, I look forward to seeing all of your yummy pictures on Instagram! 😍😍 have a great week! @andrea_27s 👆I wish I could say no to meat and dairy!
Oct 29Reply
tinalalinaa
tinalalinaa @salenalu @andrea_27s I never thought I would be vegan! But it's so much easier than you might think. I also have a dairy allergy/sensitivity I know how it feels. Again easier to stay away from dairy that I thought! I'm studying psychology and nutrition at the moment and plan to be a dietitian in the Los Angeles area. Feel free to ask me any questions concerns recipes anything you can think of I love talking about nutrition and LOVE hearing from others! Email me kristinav10 at yahoo 😊✌️
Oct 29Reply
salenalu
salenalu Thanks so much! @tinalalinaa Best of luck to you on becoming a dietician!! That's so awesome. Where are you studying? I'm learning more and more about how important our food intake is. And I just ordered this book called "pyschology and the gut" - super interesting stuff! My next task is to get off if gluten completely, and then sugar. I have an intolerance to gluten, but usually convenience wins these days. Thanks again!!
Oct 29Reply
tinalalinaa
tinalalinaa Thankfully I'm not gluten sensitive, that could be hard and dangerous if it's serious. I'm studying psychology at Loyola Marymount nutrition right now is my "hobby" more of a lifestyle but planning on going to school for it after I get my ba in psych :)

andrea_27s
andrea_27s I just read this, pasted out on the couch at 7 And then snuggled up to my son and slept some more. :) This is the second time I have heard if this treatment idea. A lady named Karen I met on posh uses the same method. And she said its a real life changer too. I will respond to the other messages in the morning. Got to get back up in 4 hours. Ugh...

salenalu Hey there! @andrea_27s I don't know if I ever responded to you? Anyway, I hope you're feeling okay these days. It's really worth going to his website and looking. Www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com. I just saw him actually - he's 86 and sharper than some 30 year olds I know! Haha. But he's working on a blood test for fibro before he dies, he told me. Honestly, it's worth a flight to California. when I was there, there was people from Canada in his office. Let me know if you ever do it - I would be happy to help you in any way that I can. Anyway, I hope you have a good day!

salenalu I'm so sorry! @andrea_27s. And believe me I understand about not having money. I used to work full time before I got really sick. And we bought a house and had a kid right before I became disabled- unable to work! So I know all about that! My poor hubby works 3 jobs and I won't even start on my medical bills! 😁😁 Thats why I love Poshmark so much! I can make a little money to contribute.

Nov 12Reply
salenalu
salenalu Thank you so much for sharing! @cultiverre I appreciate the support so much! You are just the sweetest. I have had Lupus (SLE) for ten years. My immune system loves to attack my organs. 😳 And I was diagnosed with fibro 3 years ago. I am doing much better after finding a doctor with a different concept on fibro. So I'm always trying to spread the word! I am also gluten free and have a sensitivity to wheat but I'm not full blown celiacs. It's incredible how much our diet affects our body and how modern medicine is just now figuring this out! My daughter also struggles with auto immune issues - but she has a mom with all the knowledge on what to do! Thank you so much for your kind words about me and my fam. Family is everything to me! And I can see it is to you too by looking at your adorable pictures. I love the one of you and your baby where you are wearing the striped pants! Too cute! And btw, you are truly a style icon! I've always had a quirky sense of style (compared to most) and you're inspiring me to wear what I want! Haha. Take care! 😊

salenalu
salenalu Hey there @andrea_27s I haven't tried for disability because I'm afraid of rejection! Haha. Honestly - for years I didn't have the energy or mental stamina to deal with it. Now I just might, and it would help me get out from under the thousands of dollars of medical bills. So I should and I always say I should but I haven't. Have you ever heard of Allsup? They are supposed to be very good and helping you win your SSDI case.

Best of luck on here! I'm new too and also live in LA, well it's actually Ventura County but close enough, lol. Maybe we will meet at a future PM party:)
Nov 23Reply
andrea_27s
andrea_27s It's been a crazy week. Sorry I didn't respond earlier. I've applied for disability and got shot down three times. I have to start over but I didn't have the two diagnoses I have now to add to the list but maybe I have a chance. I have to put in for it and when I get my first denial letter contact a lawyer ASAP. I haven't heard of the one you mentioned :)

smadams
smadams @salenalu I'm not sure why it took me so long to find your closet, but I'm glad I did! Lovely things and style! I understand the chronic illness thing too- Lyme disease going on 15 yrs, not diagnosed til 3yrs ago. It's hard to be young &sick; you definitely have to take on an attitude of thankfulness, find joy, and figure out how to keep living. Posh has been fun little bright spot for me 😊 keep up the fight and enjoy that beautiful family of yours! So nice to "meet" you! 😃
Dec 02Reply
salenalu
salenalu Oh my goodness! @smadams It is so nice to meet you too! Your comments really made my day! It is so refreshing to meet such kind people like you here on Posh! I am so sorry that you've struggled with Lyme's for so long. And I know what it's like to know that you're sick but go undiagnosed for years! And I also know how hard it is to have an 'invisible' illness. It's so hard to be young, to look young, but yet to feel horrible. I've felt so misunderstood so many times in life because of 'not looking' sick! Lyme's is such a painful disease with symptoms similar to Lupus/auto Immune from what I know, am I right? And I know the treatment can be really hard as well?! I really hope that you are doing well and able fight your fight too, lovely! The biggest thing I have learned about being sick, especially when I was bedridden, unable to work, unable to accomplish most tasks - is that my self worth is not in what I can "do", it is about my character and how I treat and care for others. I had to learn that I wasn't any less of a person because I had limitations. Sorry to go on a rant about that! I really hope to hear more about your story and get to know you on Posh! I am going to write your username down in my notes in my phone so I can remember you! A little tip another posher gave me to do so that I can keep in touch with special Poshers. Take care! And I'm looking forward to hearing from you. 😊💜

salenalu Hey there! @maya15 Thank you so much for your kind comment! Somehow it got buried in my feed and I didn't see it until just now as I was replying to someone else. Anyway, thank you for the kind words. I really am encouraged by the love here on Posh. And by the way, I'm in Ventura County too! I just say LA because the rest of the country wouldn't know the difference. Plus I'm in LA a lot! My husband and I are in Moorpark now. But we've lived in Thousand Oaks and Westlake and Simi. Anyway, I hope to hear from you! I'm so sorry it took me so long to reply! 😳😊

maya15 @salenalu How awesome! I had LA at first on my profile but added Ventura County just cause i felt i was betraying my little Simi, lol. You're practically my neighbor, lol. salenalu @maya15 Hey Neighbor! Lol. you're right - we are so close! And I'm in Simi all the time. My daughter goes to Simi covenant preschool off of Tapo. Anyway, I am not going to the posh party, but thank you so much for asking me! Maybe one day I will go, but a party with a bunch of women who I don't know kinda scares me! Haha. I'm sure I would have fun though! I'm just the kind of person that needs a lot of convincing. ☺️I really hope that you have a good time! Let me know how it turns out! 💜

Did I convince you yet? Lol!

Dec 09Reply
smadams
smadams @salenalu Thank you for the words of encouragement. It's hard to remember sometimes that piece about self worth coming from more than just what we 'do'. Yes, Lyme has similar autoimmune symptoms and very much an "invisible illness". Going through a rough patch right now which makes it even more of a blessing to meet others who "get it"! And thank you for the tip about keeping a list of poshers- I added a note in my phone and started that list! Super helpful! 😊

Dec 11Reply
salenalu
salenalu I am so sorry that you are going through a rough patch @smadams. It really breaks my heart because I know what that feels like all too well. 😔 I am praying for you! Being sick is so hard, especially because most people don't understand. But I think it can help us to empathize with others, and I think it makes us realize what's really important in life. When we are young and sick, unlike most young people, I think we can gain wisdom from It beyond our years. Ya know? It teaches us that we aren't always in control, that sometimes we have to ask for help, and that our character and attitude is so important! Sorry, not trying to be preachy....just trying to encourage you! My sickness has always been a burden but I wouldn't trade it in because of the many lessons it has taught me!! I'm praying you are feeling ok. I just am getting over the stomach flu and it was the worst!
Dec 11Reply

salenalu Thank you so much!! @riavianna I think you are SO beautiful!! And I love your closet!! I've been told I look young my whole life. It's a blessing and a curse. My husband works with high school students and a lot of people thought he was dating one of his students when we were first dating! Haha. When I was pregnant with my daughter, people would make all kinds of comments to me! Mean ones! Actually, I probably get told that I look too young to have a daughter about once a week. But Oh well! I guess I'll enjoy it when I'm older! 😂😁😉💓

salenalu They there @brat4life it is so nice to meet you! I am sorry it has taken me so long to write you back. I remember being out to dinner and reading your comment and being super excited that you reached out to me. I will be praying for your health my friend. I have been through the ringer with my lupus and fibro. And I just want to pass on this info because it has helped me so much. If you haven't already, go see Dr. Paul St. Amand in Marina del Rey. He is world renowned and a pioneer when it comes to fibromyalgia. He is 87 years old and still practicing. His treatment and methods were the only ones that got me to not be bed ridden anymore. He has a website www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com. And 'The City of Hope' sponsors his research. He has changed my life, so I always pass on his info to anyone with fibro. I promise you I'm not trying to sell you something, just passing on my good news. I hope you are feeling well! Having a supportive husband has been my saving grace for sure! Chronic illness is so difficult both mentally and physically. I will be praying for you! Thank you for reaching out to me!

salenalu
salenalu Haha! @cultiverre I laughed out loud when I read what you wrote!! I actually love Wisconisn! And I have been visiting there since I was very little. My grandparents and aunt and uncle live in Madison! Just 2 summers ago, we flew out there for my uncle's wedding. We flew into Milwaukee and drove to Madison. I love driving through all the green grass and beautiful red barns! And I really enjoyed downtown Madison. But I didn't enjoy the summer humidity. As a kid, we would come for Christmas and of course I loved the snow. The last time I was there, I noticed how well dressed all the women were. We went to the rehearsal dinner for my uncle's wedding and all the women were in such pretty dresses and a lot of them had their hair done. In California, a rehearsal dinner and summer wedding is usually very relaxed. So I actually felt underdressed, which I wasn't expecting! Anyway, it makes since that you are in Wisconsin because you have such beautiful and exquisite style. You are effortlessly elegant and now I understand why! 😊 So where are you located in that beautiful wintery cheesy stylish state? 🐮🏡⛄️❄️🐮

salenalu Hey lovely lady! @cultiverre. How are you? So, I wrote back to you a few weeks ago and I didn't hear from you, which is rare! I normally would never point that out, but I remember you telling me that comments get lost in your feed. So I wanted to tell you incase you thought that I hadn't written you back! Things get lost in my feed all the time, so I can only imagine what it's like to keep up with tens of thousands of followers! My comment is above ☝️a few comments up. Don't feel like you need to respond. I just wanted to make sure you got it! I hope I'm not being rude! Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful Monday! 😁😘

salenalu @cultiverre Hey lovely, you've got to be just the sweetest most thoughtful person I have ever met electronically. 😉 and I really enjoyed reading your comment! I am so sorry that your family got the flu! The flu is a big deal, and I cannot imagine having it while trying to take care of 4 kids and a hubby that have it too! Being a mom is the hardest job in the world - especially if you have 4 kids!! My daughter and I have had the stomach flu three times this season! And on Christmas she was so sick that we were on standby to go to the hospital. Anyway, I laughed when I read about the women wearing Camouflage or sweats! I've always enjoyed dressing my best and wearing things that are a little bit different. And because of this, I feel like a black sheep a lot of times too!! I feel like you and I are kindred spirits in this way! And it's nice to know I'm not the only one! When I was much more sick than I am now, I could only get out of the house maybe once every couple of weeks. And when I did, I really enjoyed putting on my make up and wearing nice clothes. And people would come up to me and say "How can you be sick, when you're so put together?!" And it would drive me crazy (and it still does). I feel my best when I look my best, so that's how I would help myself to feel better! I've even had doctors say things like "well, I think you have MS but I'm not ready to diagnose you because you look too healthy." But it was just a little mascara and blush and some new boots!! 💁 Lol. Or women will say that I am unapproachable before they know me because of the way I dress - but honestly I don't know how to be anyone else but myself!! I'm sure you have dealt with that too!!
Jan 28Reply
salenalu
salenalu I decided to break up my comment because it was getting too long @cultiverre. I think your style is just exquisite. You are truly an artist and I can see it in everything that you post! I would love to meet you someday - can you imagine? It would be so awesome! I was also going to say, my parents are both from the Midwest too, living in southern CA. Also, Laguna Nigel is a beautiful place! I am actually in Moorpark, Ca. Which is a good 45 min drive north of Downtown Los Angeles. So maybe me feeling different about the way I dress is also living out here, less close to the city. I'm headed over to Instagram now to see your feed. I didn't have a chance to look at it yesterday but I know it's going to be filled with beautiful photos and style! I haven't been posting either on Instagram. My hubby is a photographer so he's the one always taking the pictures, and his feed of us is probably much more current. His username is @mondoscott. Anyway, I am so sorry this is so long winded!!! Please don't feel like you have to respond right away. You have a very busy life! Just know one of your biggest fans is in Moorpark, CA. 😉💁😊😘

maya15 @salenalu Hello beautiful lady!!!!! I thought of you today as I walked out of the In n Out in Mpk and a gentleman wearing a shirt from Cornerstone approached me and asked if I had been at the service there because I looked familiar. I've been wanting to go to see if I get lucky and run into you, lol, so this nice man just made me think of you😉😘 Hope all is going great and you're having a great weekend😃💕

salenalu @maya15!! I was there for lunch today!!! Between 1 and 2:30 ish. Were you there? Did the man have grey hair and glasses and his wife is Japanese? If so those are our dear friends Frank and Colleen! They were there today. I was sitting with my husband and daughter and my husbands friend and his son. I wonder if you were there!! I'm getting so excited as I'm typing this! Yes you should come check out Cornerstone Moorpark sometime and let me know when you do. My husband is the youth pastor there which I probably already mentioned! It would be soo awesome to meet you! And I was actually just thinking of you last night, thinking I should share your closet and see how you are. How funny is that?!

maya15 @salenalu Oh noooo waaay!!!!!! I think we got there like at 12:30 and left around 1:30 and yes he has grey hair but don't recall if he had glasses. I was caught off guard when he approached me because I was rushing out. My husband walked out first with our girls and I stayed behind to get lemonade and that's when I ran into him. I will most definitely have to come and surprise you one of this Sundays. It would definitely be awesome to meet you!

salenalu I'm so sorry! @migle I know what you mean - believe me! I was diagnosed at 19 almost ten years ago and I was just a healthy college kid with my whole life ahead of me. I try really hard not to focus on my future. I could die from a Lupus complication or I could die tomorrow in a car accident. We just don't know, and because of that, it's not worth it to worry about it! I know that's easier said than done...Two weeks ago I got another autoimmune diagnosis, which involve some pretty serious complications and medications...so my husband and I have had some conversations recently about my future. I don't think my body is going to last much longer! But I just don't know, and because of that I really have to focus on the here and now. Sorry to go on and on about my life - but I just wanted to relay that you are not alone!! Having lupus is unpredictable, and we suffer emotionally from it. 😞I hope you are feeling okay these days!! Take care of yourself! 😘😘

salenalu Hey there @mollys3. I just got to look back on your incredibly kind and encouraging words. Thank you for sharing a piece of your story with me! I'm sorry I haven't replied. I had a tough month health wise, and I took a little break from really connecting with others on Posh like I normally do! I am sorry to hear that you struggle with Lupus too. I know the physical and emotional tole that it takes. Especially before you get an accurate diagnosis! Those 20 years must have been tough. As a kid, I always felt just a little bit more exhausted, a little but sicker than everyone else. I felt so misunderstood! Especially when my teachers and doctors wouldn't 'believe' that I really was sick. So when I was diagnosed at 19, it was such an 'ah ha' moment for me. Anyway, I'm sorry for rambling. Thank you for saying hello! Hopefully we can keep in touch!

aliciarosev Love your closet! But I have a list of auto immune issues too (hashimotos, chronic fatigue, fibro, anemia...) and can relate to the struggle it is. Not many people understand. I'm a designer & my recent collection was inspired by my health battle. My website is in the process of being designed & will have my full lookbook & the story behind the collection - but there are bits and pieces on my Instagram @alirosenyc - thought I would share with you. Xo
Jun 21Reply
salenalu
salenalu Wow, thank you for sharing! @aliciarosev I would love to check out your designs...you're right, no one understands about chronic illness, especially when it doesn't show on the outside. Apparently you can't be stylish and sick, am I right?! ....I have fibro, chronic fatigue too. As well as POTS (heart issue causes lots of fainting) and Lupus. After I had my daughter I became bed ridden, in debilitating pain. I was a chronic migraine sufferer, hospitalized because of the vomiting, lost 20 lbs. Told i had MS and was just about to do a full round of chemo so my immune system would "reset" itself....I went on a loooonnnng journey to try and find help, because I had no quality of life. There were several things that masked the pain, but There was only one treatment that actually helped me and treated the problem. I don't want to be one of those annoying people, but I just have to share. I can't sit with my conscious if I don't share this with you. I am no longer bed ridden because of this doctors approach to fibromyalgia. His name is Dr. Paul St. Amand, and he is the head of endocrinology at UCLA, but he has colleagues in NYC that practice his methods. He is 87 years old, and he discovered fibro and chronic fatigue back in the 50's. He then named it fibromyalgia and discovered the treatment. The treatment is benign and over the counter. The reason why you probably don't know about it is because our pharmaceutical industry has found fibromyalgia to be very lucrative and the've kinda overalled the medical field's view of it. I know I sound like one of those quacky people with a new quick fix, but it's the real deal. To Dr. St. Amand, fibro is a kidney disorder that causes a build up of calcium phosphate through out the body causing pain in tissue, fatigue, ibs, migraines, the list goes on and on. Your body creates calcium phosphate and uses it and your kidneys are supposed to get rid of the excess, but in those with fibro the kid ones are blocked. So you have small lesions throughout the body. It' tends to start in the left hip or side, you may be very tender on that side or you can feel a small mass that's painful deep in the tissue. I don't mean to go on and on, but I cringe everyday because people are being lied to.... his website is www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com and his book on Amazon is "what your doctor may not tell you about fibromyalgia". You will find scholarly journals on his website and his tea search there...There are many that don't think he is the real deal, the reason for this being he did a study in the mid 90's that didn't pan out because they didn't know then that certain ingredients in beauty products were counteracting the treatment. Anyway, I am so rambling, but his treatment has saved my life. And not just mine, I have seen first hand change peoples lives all around me because I have sent them to him. Fibromyalgia is a real disease and this doctor is working on a blood test to prove it. He is 87 and still practicing. He told me that once he creates the blood test, he can die in peace. The City of Hope Research Center here in LA is backing him up. They are a big deal. Do your own research. But if you think I'm nuts and don't want to talk about it, I understand! If you need help finding his colleagues in NYC, I can help you with that. He has saved my life. I can't say that enough. When I first saw him, I had been in a migraine state for 3 months and lost 20 lbs. I was skeptic of doctors. I had been on several drugs for migraines. Had multiple MRIs, a spinal tap, they wanted to shoot Botox into my head...anyway when I walked in to Dr. St. Amand's office, He didn't want my medical history, he didn't want to know very much about me. He was able to feel the back of my neck and tell me that I had a calcium phosphate lesion that was pinching a nerve going directly to the left side of my head where I was having the migraines. The first thing he said was "Do you suffer from migraines on this left side?" I just about died! It was like he read my mind. Truly remarkable. I have a migraine about once every couple of months. And I am still taking his treatment... Sorry to go on forever, if you don't ever want to talk to me again, I understand, but I couldn't live with myself unless I told you! I hope everything works out for you! Your designs look amazing. You really seem like a true artist. 😘

tabithadancer @salenalu I just finally looked around your whole closet and found this. Holy cow. I've battled an autoimmune disorder but nothing like yours. I'm assuming you've read The Maker's Diet? Our hardships certainly give us character and persaverance! It has made me grateful for all of them, in a strange way. They teach us such precious wisdom. I hope you are feeling well these days!
Jun 21Reply
salenalu
salenalu Hi there!! @tabithadancer I am so sorry you are battling autoimmune issues as well. It really breaks my heart when I hear of a new person on here that is dealing with it. Because I know the tole that chronic illness takes. I actually have not read The Maker's Diet. But as I have gone through so many avenues to try and find healing, I have come to believe that our Medical Industry does not have all of the answers. I have had more doctors mask my symptoms with harsh drugs, then try and get to the source of the problem. And the more I research, the more I am convinced how important our diets are to our health. I am also convinced that the way our food industry has become big business (GMOs, chemicals, etc) is hurting us physically. Interesting fact, I have this book called "The Lupus Book" it is probably the most well known and read authority on Lupus. They did a study in the book, where they found 5 places in the world where Lupus is more prevalent in people than any other places. One was in Ecuador I believe, one in Europe, others in other parts of the world - and one is in Moorpark, CA. Which happens to be a little city of 30k outside of LA, WHERE I LIVE! I can't tell you how many people I run into around here that are having auto-immune issues. Our environment and our diet plays a huge role. Hopefully in the coming years people can figure out whats hurting us. But it seems like lots of research, doctors, studies etc. are skewed by people trying to make money and not trying to help people. Not all. But lots. Ok, I'm off my soap box now. haha! Sorry for that. I will have to check out that book. Thank you for reaching out to me. I hope you are feeling ok these days!!
Jun 21Reply
salenalu
salenalu You are too kind! @ridinghood13 I was just diagnosed with POTS this year, and its killing me! I I can't stand, I can hardly drive. I'm always about to pass out.... So I have to say something about the guaifenesin for Fibro. In order for it to actually work, you must follow the guaifenesin protocol, and remove all salicylics from your beauty products. And you can't have tea or peppermint anything! I'm sure if you know about guaifenesin that you probably know this. But you wouldn't believe how important this is. The people that fail to see results from guiaf are not doing the protocol properly. Ive had major set backs in my treatment just from a chapstick that changed its ingredients. And I didn't even know it until i was in his office and he was "mapping" my lesions and discovered more. Many doctors have failed with this treatment because they don't teach the salicylic protocol thoroughly enough. And it takes too much time out of a doctor's day to teach this to every new patient, so many of them will not do it. Im sorry if Im going on and on but I am extremely passionate about this! The guaifenesin has changed my life. I used to be bed ridden with migraines, severe pain, hurt to touch, neuropathy, IBS, bladder issues, painful sex, chronic fatigue, muscle spasms...I meant the list goes on and on.... . I used to get out of the house once a month, and then if I over did it, I would be in bed for weeks, crying and rocking back and forth in pain, on Morphine, and begging my husband to take me to the hospital to get some relief somehow. So I am SO sorry that fibromyalgia is kicking your butt! I know it all too well. The disease wrecks the body. But it is completely reversible with diligent guaif treatment. If you read Dr. St. Amand's book, or if you need any help, let me know and I will help you! I have helped women in my area do the protocol correctly. And i have a pinterest board that features beauty products that are safe to use, it should be under 'Salena Scott". Anyway, Im sorry if I sound crazy, its just so important to me. It kills me that so many people are suffering so badly when their is an absolute cure. And it kills me that the medical industry still has controversy about accepting Fibro as a legitimate disease. Dr. St. Amand explained to me why the inflammation caused by fibro doesnt show up on blood work. It's basically the chemistry of two chemicals canceling each other out. He is working to change this...I know that in 20 years this will be the accepted norm. But in the meantime I just have to share, I feel like Im sitting on a huge truth that needs to be shared. I can't live with myself if I don't share. Even if I look like a crazy lady in the process. I hope this long message didn't take up too much of your time. And I hope you can find healing soon, I really do!

tabithadancer @salenalu you're my new bestie because I have discovered and agree with EVERYTHING YOU JUST SAID!!! I went through a serious cleanse and therapy and I'm longer medicated! But I have to be careful about the toxins I expose myself to (bath products, WATER), and the foods I eat. Stress is also a huge factor for me. You would agree with everything in The Makers Diet; it's the quest of a man who was dying from an unhealthy gut who decides to eat what God made our bodies to use. You're doing so much right! You're awesome! Hang in! You are wonderfully made, our bodies CAN heal :) I'M SO GLAD I FOUND YOU!

tabithadancer I have a Madewell question for you! I was in Madewell (SM) last month trying on jeans and all the skinny skinny styles in size 25 fit great! Nice and stretchy and looked great. So I bought a pair of skinny skinny size 25 here on Poshmark and they're too small! The fabric feels different. Do you know if the fabric content changed in recent seasons? Because then the pair I bought from you is a 26 and fits great but snug. But when I put on a 26 in the store last month they were too roomy. I'm confused. Any words of Madewell experience? @salenalu
Jul 16Reply
salenalu
salenalu Hey there lovely@tabithadancer! I'm sorry it's taken me 24 hours to get back to you! We are trying to move back into our house and it's crazy! Anyway, yes you are on to something about the Madewell denim!! They changed their denim about 2 years ago - maybe even 1 1/2 years. And the sizes before then had smaller waists for sure! And they were tighter in the thighs with less stretch. I am fairly new to Madewell denim, bought my first pair about a year and a half ago, and I have been a faithful follower ever since! But I too have purchased older Madewell denim on Poshmark and the sizing has been too small. This has happened to me more than once!! 😱 My only other advice is that the label "skinny skinny" on the back of the jean seems to be the older version and "skinny skinny ankle" seems to be the newer version. I would be interested to see if the fabric content is different also. I have a newer pair and we should compare it with the older pair you bought. Also - Madewell's "high riser" jean does glorious things for the rear end! Lol. I tried on a pair reluctantly (I thought they would look too high up, like mom jeans) and I was so surprised! Those jeans sucked in my stomach and lifted my butt. 😉😊 they are my favorite cut of jean now and I must get another pair! I hope that helps! I just bought a pair of Madewell jeans on posh last week, when they arrive I'll let you know how they fit! If they are the older version and they don't fit me, I will be listing them here and tagging you! Lol 😘

Thank you for checking in on me....it's been a crazy 6 months, I've had some pretty serious health stuff go on. And a new diagnosis of a super rare genetic condition for my daughter and I. It's been hard for me to devote any time to posh...and it's been tough for us overall, but we are figuring it out, and trusting God's plan for us....anyways, I hope you are doing well! Your closet looks fabulous! It's been ages since I've really looked at your closet. Thank you for all the times you shared my stuff and I wasn't able to share back!!😘😘

angel10 I will definitely keep your family in my prayers. You're such a beautiful person so I know good things are in store for you. As far as the sharing my closet back. You DON'T have to! I love sharing your closet as sometimes trying to respond and share back on posh is overwhelming. Just spend your time focusing on your health. I hope you get some more sales which could help out a little. Sending love, blessings, prayers, and positive vibes your way 💕.
