Signed lower left corner and back of plaque by artist. Very good pre-owned condition. Smoke free home. Unable to bundle. Victor Guschov was born in Haverhill, MA in 1950. He began to paint seriously when he was 14 years old, working in oils and watercolors. Strongly attracted to the work of the Impressionists, he has since experimented with many different styles and mediums, retaining an element of realism and keeping the natural world as a touchstone. He graduated from Worcester Academy in 1969 and went on to Montserrat School of Visual Arts and the Art Students League of New York. In 1977, he settled in Oregon, becoming established as a landscape and seascape artist. His more recent works include copper wall pieces and contemporary jewelry as well as paintings.
