Abstract 8 Gems Pendant Handmade in 925 PMC (Precious Metal Clay) Sterling Silver with 14K Yellow Gold Gemstone Settings by My Father, Art Jewelry Master Metalsmith and Instructor Don Dietz (1936 - 2019). Don was a cutting edge jeweler whose pieces and articles were published many times in Lapidary Journal (stone cutting) and Art Jewelry magazines. Faceted stones included on this pendant (best guess) are Tourmaline, Sapphire, Synthetic Ruby, Amethyst, Yellow and Blue Topaz, and Tanzanite. Note the Tourmaline in the lower center setting has a surface cleavage divot on the top facet table; it is tight in the setting, though, and not at risk of falling out. This special abstract style pendant was one of Don's experimental pieces created around 2010 that, unfortunately, has no purity marks or signature on the back as he was planning to replace the damaged gemstone before finishing and signing the piece. I am aware of this because he showed me the piece as he was creating it and told me about his process. I can provide a certificate of authenticity as his daughter for provenance if desired by the purchaser. Pendant is approx 1 7/8 inches wide x 1 1/2 inches long x 1/2 inch deep.
