Accurate shoe sizing

I've been seeing a lot of incorrect shoe sizing. Just noticed that Poshmark shows that a 38.5 is an 8.5. It's actually a 7.5 and a 39.5 is 8.5. At least that's what I've been buying for years and what's on most of the size charts. Maybe there needs to be clarification? Hope this helps!
