@beersbikesbabes I am curious as to the logic of starting negotiation at 50+%. You are not the first person to do this, but you are the first person I'm asking. Is it a Poshmark thing or something? Because pricing something at $50 and being offered $25 is a bit outrageous to me. If this is a part of Poshmark culture please clarify.

@frugal_freshman I do find it to be an effective starting negotiating point that has been successful for me in the past. I find people inflate their initial price so that they can offer deep discounts. Ie. “I bought it for $70, I listed it for $50, but I’ll let you have it for $25.” I can’t speak to all of Poshmark, but this is how I have interacted with sellers with success.
