These weightlifting shoes from adidas are great for the gym! My husband just never wears them. A little scuffed or worn in tiny places from some weights (see photos) but these were almost exclusively worn indoors and are still in pretty good condition! The big feature with weightlifting shoes is the small rise in the back of the shoe to offset balance and mobility issues during certain lifts. They click/turn wiry laces closed so no shoelaces that will come undone!
