African Tribal Mask #130

This is a splendid vintage Tribal Mask handcrafted from local Ghanaian Sese wood is adorned with multicolored glass beads around the face and brass on the forehead. Striking and noble, the mask depicts a dove atop a man's head, named Anoma Ba, meaning "bird's child" in the Akan language of Ghana. While the masks are striking due to the attention to detail by the artisans, there is more history to them than meets the eye!
