It does not go totally through the fabric nor is it seen when worn unless you point it out under light w good eyes in my opinion, none the less it is a flaw so priced accordingly. Still a lovely piece! Unmarked wool (light-medium weight w flat texture) Size not marked- measures typical large but their style is worn loose so I think wears best on medium.
