The leather is thick and in great condition with no cracks, and the current state of wear, with scratches etc., contributes to the look of having attended music festivals and marched through the streets (although a polish-up would bring them back to looking like new). The buckles are in great shape, the leather straps that pass through them do show some texture as seen in the photos. They look heavy but are stable and actually pretty light underfoot. The soles have a lot of life left, but due to the pointed toe the rubber on each shoe at the toe is degraded and would benefit from having a cobbler give them a once-over. The left foot’s insole needs to be re-glued— it likes to come out when the shoes are being removed.
