The MA-1 VF LW is slimmer than the original MA-1 and has been specially adapted to the female silhouette. In addition, the thick padding of the original was removed to achieve a lower weight. The lightweight yet durable Flight Nylon also protects against wind and rain. Admittedly, this may not be as dramatic a development as women´s suffrage. Still, Military Fashion continues to be a male domain - and we thought it would be a step in the right direction to re-seal a masculine jacket into a women´s jacket.
