@lmlaird thank you! I get a lot from eBay. It took me a few months to figure out exactly what to look for though. You really have to watch on there because you have some claiming to be vintage but made in China, some that's just junk, and some that's broke or missing a small stone but they have that wrote in small print somewhere or something is wrong with it. If you Lear what your doing on eBay though you can find where people don't know what they have and everyone else is bidding on something else and get great deals. It helps to be in great standing with some of the sellers to. There's also an online auction in my area that I get things at.

Awesome thanks so much... I like greens, and i also like bright fruit salad colored earrings, and i prefer clipbacks instead of screws/pierced (i see some colorful earrings in your closet but screws not clips). I dont buy brooches, i tend to buy earrings and necklaces. I love bracelets and rings as well but since im tiny a lot of times those dont work (ring 4.5 or below, wrist 5") thanks :):)

Btw i find your honesty so refreshing (abt ebay and people not knowing what they hv etc). People are here to make $ and thats understandable and normal, but i recently noticed a posher here (a quite well known one, host etc etc) who bought a cuff for $15 from another posher, and reselling for $107. Which is fine.

But what got me bothered was that she claimed that she saw it at a thrift store, saw the value, and brought it home (which can be stretcheeedd so that its not technically a lie, if you consider another posher's closet a thrift store). I dont know, that just botherd me a bit. Haha... Sorry for the vent... :) anyway, cant wait for more posts from you! Pls tag me! Thanks!

@marjb omg!! That's crazy!! What kills me is the host pics. You know it's a popularity who's who thing! If your not in the "in" group you won't get a pick. Posh tries to deny it and says we pick someone new for every party but I don't think that matters or is true. I've been on here for like 3 years I think and have had 2 picks. Others have 2-3 picks on 1 item and their closet is full of them. Don't tell me it's not somehow a popularity contest.

@marjb The thing is I'm very honest. If I don't know something about something I'll tell you and I'll try to find the answer. I don't sell my stuff at a crazy amount because I don't pay a crazy amount. Especially when I have people I buy especially for I usually charge them around what I paid. If something is worth a lot then I charge more but at a lower price. I'm not here to break anyone. I love old jewelry and antiques and if I can share what I love with someone else that's what I enjoy!!

I totally agree about the host picks. Sometimes i see items marked hosts picks and i would go "what? But why?" Because the items are so unremarkable. Well, u know, at least if you're not in the 'in crowd' and your items got picked you know that thats because of your items' merits and thats something :) i have one item picked so far and i think that that item was totally deserving that i actually went ahead and decided to keep the item for myself hahaha! :D

@marjb hey sry I didn't get a chance to post tonight! I've had some issues with my landlord trying to sell my house out from under me and I found out tonight that he's doing it and I can either give him $2,000 by Tuesday and put the house in my name or be moved before then because it's going to be sold to someone else. So, it's not been a good night to say the least.

I've only had 1, and I've been here for almost 2 years, and I have great ratings. I have a Threadflip friend of mine on here, and her whole closet is a host pick, but won't tell me who her contacts are. So, Y'all are not mistaken, it IS who you know. It's sad, and not fair. 😢
