American Hat Co. Steel 10X Beaver Fur top hat size 6 7/8

American Hat Company's fur felt hats are Handmade in Bowie, Texas U.SA. This is a 10X beaver fur felt hat and the color is steel grey. The height of the hat is 4.5 inches The brim is 2.5 inches circumference of the hat is 21inches It is a size 6 7/8 which would fit a small head. I'd say this is a cross between the english bowler hat with the crown shaped kind of like a teardrop. The hat is a warped so I recommend taking it to a hatter to steam and shape the hat then apply hat stiffener to maintain it's new form. As for 10X there is not a reliable source as to what percentage of beaver is used. There are resources online but each hat company is very hush hush about it which is.... just a pain. But the quality of American Hat Co. hats are top shelf. This hat is very soft to the touch.
