disparu @aurumgirlstudio I will double check, but I dont think it ever had another button on the collar, it is supposed to be asymmetrical. The left button does not have a button hole, it is sewn on.

disparu @aurumgirlstudio no problem! I just checked the coat and yes , there doesn't seem to be any threads for a missing button. If you check the An Ren website she currently has one other coat/jacket listed with the same cut as this collar, and that one too appears to only have one button. Hope that helps!
