Fruity brooch designed by Angela Cummings.
Fantastic and unusual brooch, created by Angela Cummings in New York city, back in the 1997. This brooch has been crafted in the shape of a magical fruit with a swirled stem in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with brushed finish. Embellished with very pretty sapphires and fitted at the reverse with a hinged horizontal pin bar and a security safety lock.
Sapphires: Mounted in a pave setting, with 124 calibrated round brilliant cuts of natural vivid green sapphires, with a weight of 3.76 Carats.
Birthstone: Green sapphires for the month of September.
Weight: 17.3 Grams, (11.09 Dwt).
Measurements: 48 mm by 30 mm (1.89 x 1.18 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold, and signed, "CUMMINGS 1997 18KT".
Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
