Angela Cummings Studios 1984 Orchids Earrings .925 Sterling Silver

Orchids Earrings designed by Angela Cummings. An over-sized organic sculptural piece, created in New York city by Angela Cummings back in the 1984. This pair of earrings was carefully crafted at her own studio in solid sterling silver with very high polished finish. Suited at the reverse with posts (removable) for pierced ears and hinged omega backs for fastening clips.  The design is created by the abstractions of multiples organic Orchid Flowers, all of them attached together with invisible links. The earrings weight is 33.7 grams and have a measures of 46 mm by 37 mm (1.81 x 1.46 Inches). Stamped at the reverse, with the maker's mark, the silver assay hallmark and signed, "CUMMINGS 1984 STERLING". Angela Cummings was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
