Angela Tripi Biblical woman Figurine Vintage on wood base Flaws

Angela Tripi Figurine Vintage w/ flaws consistent w/ age .~ 8" tall, soda can & ruler in pic to help w/ size visualization. Scratches on the wood base.There is a hand written sentiment on the bottom "Christmas 1993 Gift from Paul a drawn heart w/ the words Miriam Lorraine 5/11/94 inside ".Tiny little chips here & there, maybe even one on the tip of her nose. Now she appears to be dirty but that is not the case she is intentionally painted that way to depict peasant clothing of the time I believe. I soaked her in a dilute mild dish detergent & gently scrubbed her w/ a toothbrush. I however did over scrub the back of her hands unfortunately I took the paint off that resembled dirt. My Joe saw me and yelled at me saying she is "Mary Magdalene who washed Jesus's feet her hands would be dirty ". I felt so bad I messed up what the artist was conveying and that I totally missed she was Mary Magdalene and not the Virgin Mary . She had been in storage so long I forgot what she looked like when I packed her away . Not sure if she is suppose represent the Virgin Mary or Mary Magdalene but honestly I like her more if she is Mary Magdalene because there are so few figurines available that I have seen of Mary Magdalene in fact she will be the only one I know of and honestly I think there is so much MORE of a story regarding Mary Magdalene then what we know. But yes if the artist was portraying Mary Magdalene after washing Jesus's feet then of course her hands would be dirt. RESIN?
