Listed as a Vuitton. Pictured a Vuitton look-a-like bag. Listed it as a Michael Kors. And the helpful description reads; "Purse" If your looking for an authentic bag, skip this one. Don't waste your time asking for proof of authenticity. Seller has already told you by trying to fly under the radar. I am not looking to hurt anyone or their sales. I am trying to help those who want an authentic bag by sharing what to look for to obtain one rather than being duped

mee_oww @stormaly777 who said it was? There isn't a user name. Additionally read the last line. It's not to hurt anyone but scammers. Keep feeding the fire. You just exposed yourself with your mean post. YOU just told people who you were, and who's listing it was, not me. I made sure I didn't include someone's name. I can't be bullied. It will only make me stronger and continue to educate people to include cyber bullying as well.

mee_oww Last comment should be ignored. No where in any post have I bad mouthed any particular individual. I suggested what to buy and what not to. I don't care who sells what. I do care about people taking advantage of others by lying and/or cheating. If you aren't guilty of any of it then it shouldn't bother you . Your taking a stand against education and fraud? People will buy what they want. True, And those who want an AUTHENTIC bag have the right to know the difference.

mee_oww That should have read the last Posher's comment before mine. And said I "never suggested". Sorry, when I feel strongly about something my hands and thoughts have a contest : )

ramanroma776 @dvoebel lmao well that was easy 😄 Ones that get upset Obviously are doing it themselves
Jan 03Reply
mee_oww
mee_oww @ramanroma776 My point exactly. You only get upset if your guilty. All I said was posting one brand in a title & another in the brand field is a warning sign. If there's more than one warning sign, take heed. By the same token he who wants to purchase a replica now has confirmation & perhaps can bargain w/ the price. I didn't include a name. I edited it. It wasn't too bright for her to post anything. She called herself out and then buried herself. DUH...lol

mee_oww
mee_oww @jshopmycloset What burns me the most is when a seller blatantly lies about authenticity. I don't condone the selling of replica's however I can appreciate the fact that they are up front about it. Then it's the buyers choice as to whether or not they want to buy or pass.. And worse, the buyer thinks they own a designer bag . If and when the time comes they want to sell it, they can get in trouble.
Jan 12Reply
mee_oww
mee_oww @jshopmycloset It's like paying 10K for a crappy car that the salesperson claimed was a great deal. And to add insult to injury, you have to keep repairing it even though you spent 10K for a car that was worth 5K. That's why there are now "lemon" laws .People got tired of being scammed. Every consumer has the right to know exactly what they are purchasing. Authentic or not. If someone knowingly lies about an item to sell it, then they are a thief.

jshopmycloset @dvoebel 👍Just earlier I got a nasty message from the seller. She posted a Chanel caviar backpack for $4700 down to $470. 😳 So I made a comment the bag is not authentic coz the price is too good to be true. I told her I was just wondering why Poshmark would allow replicas on this app. I mentioned to her I'm a Chanel collector and I'm quite knowledgeable to look for details what is authentic or not. And she posted on one of my listing, saying.. "mind your own business"😱😳 I was speechless! Lol.

mee_oww @jshopmycloset I just looked, did she take it down? Don't be bullied. Just like wealth whispers, Guilt screams. It will be you who has the last laugh. Guilty people always/eventually get caught.

jshopmycloset @dvoebel She deleted her post. And I marked her as a red flag.It wasn't my intention to offend her. I am also a buyer and browsing for Chanel handbags. Then I found her post. It's a good thing I know how to see a red flag. I just dont want anybody be fooled. But again..thank you for listening. I'm a newbie here on this app. I'm trying to sell some of my contemporary bags since I'm updating my collections to a luxury designer. Keep that spirit of awareness of authenticity to all the Poshers. 😊

mee_oww @devinne856 My pleasure. I am not out to hurt anyone's sales. I do believe the playing field should be even & fair. Designer bags are $$. But you are not able to touch it, view all details in a few pics or make a smart decision based on a 2 line very often high pitch selling description. We should be comfortable w/our purchases. But we can't test drive it or "kick the tires" so we need knowledge and truth; both of which are very powerful tools : )

devinne856 @dvoebel Well said... people should be aware especially if not knowledgeable.. when i first started on this site never thought of having to deal with so many Scammers.. until i was literally a second away from actually hitting Paid$$ on a sale off PM.. seller wanted to do business only through 🍎 Pay..

dreama_anderson @dvoebel ppl who get defensive over posts like this seem to have something to hide😒. I had one lady get mad because I warned other Poshers about a perv wanting pics of rain boots but never purchased and was annoyed because I tried to warn a few...I was like “IT’S THE RIGHT THING TO DO!” She said, Now, I have to repost my item cause of your comment...I said so sorry for your inconvenience 🤨

cynthia66
cynthia66 @stormaly777 it's against Posh Policy & Louis Vuitton to sell replicas of their items. I work with headquarters of Posh, to look out for these things & promote a positive environment. This information is very helpful for Poshers, who really don't know the difference. I don't think the posher meant any ill intent. Let's all be positive 💕

rainidayzz
rainidayzz @cynthia66 why does PM let so many replicas stay? If you just do a search using the word "dupe", there are pages and pages of replicas. Even after they're reported, they're not removed.

cynthia66 @rainidayzz great question, I have asked Poshmark the same thing & got no answers! Even though it violates Posh guidelines!

angidabartender
angidabartender @me_wow hello. I too appreciate your info. I am a bag collector. I LOVE them. I am new to this site and I’m selling some of my bags as I’m preparing for surgery and will be off 3 months with no sick time. If you get a chance, can you tell me what not to do. I buy retail sales. I generally don’t pay full retail but, because of these fraudulent sellers, am leary of buying online. I got burned one time and when I tried to resell it, I found out it was fake. 🙄. Any tips?

dillydolly Hello 👋 I agree, there is LV bag on here trying to be sold and when asked for pictures of the date code she can’t take a picture because she said the bag is to small now that’s a red flag for me. I’m no expert but I have done a lot research on LV and other designers and her bag has a lot of red flags. Hope you all have a great night and stay sharp.😊🥀🌷

luxeleather
luxeleather I agree with everything said here, however as in all things, the buyer must take some responsibility for making informed purchases. If you aren’t familiar with checking for authenticity, ask someone who is, send Posh an email requesting guidance, or do a simple google search for “identifying a fake______” whatever bag you’re looking for. You don’t have to be an expert, just find someone to help you. With all the tools at our disposal there’s no excuse for not being an informed buyer.

shopper919
shopper919 @rainidayzz @cynthia66 I’ve seen many “dupes”, “replicas” that should have been certified by Poshmark per Poshmark policy, yet Poshmark has received 20% of sales of replicas and dupes. I can’t begin to imagine how much $ Poshmark has made from such sales.
Feb 04Reply
cynthia66
cynthia66 @shopper919 I've sold for 11 years here and I am a Posh Authenticator because I have never sold a Replica. Furthermore I send authentication verification with all of mine that have a barcode on them you can scan. I pay if I don't have receipt to have authenticated by ProAuthenticators. The price should indicate to anyone that it is not authentic. I'm not sure why you sent this to me.

juliet_1277
juliet_1277 @luxeleather I have to disagree with saying the buyer has responsibility in whether or not they purchase replicas. Per Poshmark policy, it is the SELLER'S responsibility to know what exactly they are listing. Purely, based on PM's policy... listing a designer/luxury item, the seller is indicating their item is authentic. Many people also forget, it is 100% illegal to sell counterfeit products.
