Anthropologie Black Velvet A-Line Skirt

This beautiful black velvet skirt from Anthro house brand “elevenses” is the ideal skirt for holiday party outfits! I see it like this: it’s one part fancy (for the velvet), one part playful (the big chunky buttons!), one part practical (for those gloriously roomy pockets), and one part demure (for the fullness & length of the skirt). Add size 6. Girl math! I love mixing classic staples like a formal-ish velvet skirt and adding in some unexpected accents like the big ass buttons— keeps ‘em on their toes! That also makes the skirt inherently more versatile, as it can be comfortably worn in a variety of different settings and situations (without feeling “overdressed” & uncomfortable!). The outside of the skirt is in excellent preloved condition— just a little lint here & there (which I will remove with a lint roller before sending the skirt out). The velvet material has a lovely hand-feel and a touch of lustrous sheen; it’s plush, comforting, and oh-so-soft. However, the liner on the inside of the skirt has a number of rips, tears, pulls, and snags, and the garment’s price reflects those flaws. Please note, the rips & whatnot are not visible from the outside whatsoever, so really, you’re the only one who will know they’re there! This skirt had a matching belt, once upon a time— I searched & searched but couldn’t find it anywhere.
