They are a stiffer leather that is meant to be worn in and mold to your own fit. Love these sandals, just wanting a different color. I have worn these a few times, enough to scuff the bottoms but not enough to stretch the leather to form to my own feet. These shoes brand new are a bit slippery so the scuffing makes it easier to wear! You’ll notice a flower shaped outlined on the soles where I used grip stickers typically used for shower floors to add more grip. These have been removed so you can choose to add them again if you wish (purchase on Amazon) . The shoe is still in very good condition despite the scuffing. They are beautiful sandals that go with everything!
