Antique 1869 RS Prussia Cabinet Bowl Aqua W/ Roses & Heavy Gold Trim - Unmarked

Antique RS Prussia bone china bowl has classic aqua with yellow roses & gold trim. Reinhold Schlegelmilch formed a porcelain manufacturing factory in 1869 in Suhl, Prussia (now Germany), which is where “RS Prussia” is derived from. This piece is unmarked, and the mold is one of the oldest shapes, which indicates it was produced in the very early period. The quality of the bone china in this bowl renders it almost translucent, and exceptionally lightweight. The roses are extraordinary, and the gold was very generously applied. Overall, an exceedingly exceptional piece of 153 year old china. 11” diameter x 3” tall.
