About K & G Lunéville: Founded in 1730, K & G Lunéville was one of the most famous French pottery manufacturers known for faience. In 1786, Sébastien Keller purchased the company, and for the next 137 years, the Keller family controlled the company. About 1832, Keller's son aligned with his brother-in-law Guérin to give birth to the mark K & G (or KG) from the names Keller and Guérin. The term faience, refers to the tin-glazed process used for earthenware pottery, and depending on the origin, may be called majolica or delftware
