Antique 18th Century Mother of Pearl Gaming Chip Earrings CZ's Gold Plated OOAK

18th Century Mother of Pearl gaming chips were used by the upper classes, nobility and royalty to wager on card games, dice, Whist, etc. They were handmade in China and shipped on boats to Europe. The center of the medallions were sometimes engraved with the owners initials or heraldic crest. The backs are engraved with Chinese figures, etc. I've handmade these fretwork gaming chips into exquisite earrings. They're enhanced by a clover shaped charm encrusted with CZ'S, and capped off with hammered domes that are plated with 18kt gold. Post backs for pierced ears. They hang just a bit over 3 1/2" long.
