This is a very special watch! You might notice this looks like a pocket watch. This was made in 1917 when the watch companies were transitioning from pocket watches to wristwatches. This is one of the earliest examples of this change. This 3/0 size watch has 17 jewels and a 10k gold-filled case and band. It's exquisite! Yes, it has a blemish on the dial. It is 108 years old! This could have been around in WW1. Maybe that's how it got damaged? Imagine all the things this watch has seen! The band is somewhat petite but actually expands! It could go up to about 7".
Burlington watches were made by the Illinois Watch Company in the United States. They were established in 1870! More information can be found in the pictures. I looked up the watch by its serial number and am including the results.
This watch has been serviced regularly, judging from the marks on the inside back case and the cleanliness of the movement. It runs so well! I hate to let it go, but I have to. I'm willing to entertain serious offers. We offer very fast, free shipping and a 30-day money back guarantee if not satisfied.
