Antique 1920s Composition and Cloth Baby Doll Tin Eyes 17" Unmarked This estate sale find was purchased from doll collector. Although antique, the doll is in good condition, with normal signs of age-related wear. There is a squeaker box inside of this doll but it is not working. She measures 17" long. Her head, arms and legs are made of composition. Body is stuffed cloth. The legs are swing type. She has molded hair and tin sleepy eyes. The age of this lovely doll is early 1920's as this is when first sleepy eyed dolls were made and they were made of tin back then. The doll's eyes open and close with no problem, and you hear this characteristic squeaky noise indicating the mechanism of the eyes working. The clothes are not original but vintage.
