Antique 1940's WWII era Philippines Hand Carved Hand Painted Slide Sandals

Antique vintage 1940's highly sought after pair of wooden shoes from WWII in the Philippines.  Hand carved, hand painted,  hand embroidery.  Carvings depict a common village scene with hut and palm tree. One family owned-Naval father brought home. Note Rare P1 stitching on upper. Recommend displaying as a collectible not to be worn. Definitely a conversation piece and something you don't find everyday. Sandals do not have a size, but they measure to be about a 6 to 6.5. Paint wear and scrapes on wood. Wear marks on felt upper with small holes and a few beads are missing. Felt gold leaves with hand beading on top. Right sandal has a couple of nails that are not original.
