This is a truly magnificent piano shawl from the early 1920's. The shawl is in excellent vintage condition and was carefully stored. The colors are bright and the long fringes are intact. The elaborate embroidery covers the shawl which is a striking accent piece. This was a gift from a former partner who purchased it in an antique shop but my days dressing as Frida Kahlo have ended! I’ll have this cleaned by a specialty textile cleaner before mailing. Feel free to make an offer but no low balls please! Thanks for looking!

vintagebaubles @tiffanyl25 thanks! It's stunning in person. Unfortunately I don't have anyplace to wear it and it would be destroyed if I used it as decor... My Frida Khalo days are over and we have Too many little people visiting/ I can come down on the price, I listed it a bit under the appraised value but I know it's high.. I hate to put it up for sale but it really should be used! Have an amazing weekend!

raytchell Wow! I must say this piano shawl is in absolutely amazing condition for its age. Seriously no runs, no snags (I have a stunning cream silk one that is somewhere around this age if not slightly older but mine shows wear for its long life), no thin spots and the vibrant colors are just striking!!! Fabulous piece 💕💝💖🌟

Funny I was digging through my personal closet the other day gathering clothes that no longer fit me to take out so my dream leather which finally does fit doesn’t break the rod and I actually have two. lol Oh the things we forget about when they hide off in the depths of the corners. lol 😂

raytchell @vintagebaubles moved to the land where everyone says don’t like the weather? Wait five minutes and had to buy things like snow boots and fur coats that I haven’t had since I was little. Then I came home and have nothing for when the Mercury pops the glass... and then I dropped those sizes so I’ve got the leather jacket I’ve wanted since high school and 2 pairs of baggy jeans 😄

vintagebaubles @raytchell I’m with you completely! I just found an evening dress from the early 90’s that I can fit into again! Not that I have a need for evening dresses but I’ve got if something comes up 🤣when my folks got ill I went back to Michigan to take care of them. I went from a climate where it’s perpetually fall(mid 60’s) to a climate with four intense seasons... and they had their coldest winter ever!

I just came across several warm winter dresses and a dress coat I forgot i had! And an unworn black wool Lanvin dress. Heavy wool 😞a no go here! God only knows what I’ll find when I clean it out!
