This print showcases, the intricate beauty of this elusive bird with its distinctive gray and black plumage and distinctive red and blue eyespots. It is a artful masterpiece of natural history. Illustrator is Fredrick Polydore Nodder (1770–1800) . Purchased 26 years ago from blue Chip art gallery in NYC: Les Kafka. Has sat in a temperature controlled closet ever since.
