Antique Bridle Rosette Pin Brooch Victorian Era

Vintage bridle button or rosette pin set in nickel silver. Victorian era equestrian antique shows a yellow with orange rose on a faded blue background. Bridle rosettes have a long, interesting history dating to ancient Egypt. Decorative but also thought to protect horses from the "evil eye". This one is circa late 1800's. It's chipped & faded.
