Antique Button Earrings Sterling Silver Barn Swallow Birds

These lovely sterling silver earrings have a barn sparrow tending to her nest motif with exquisite detail. This is a cast reproduction of an actual button from the 1800's. Buttons in the Victorian era were beautiful and intricate works of art. It is cast in sterling silver and lightly oxidized to better show the detail. It is very three dimensional like a bas relief. .925 solid sterling silver The earring is a bit over 7/8" from the top to bottom, and the actual button part is over 1/2" or 16mm. Lightweight, vintage and romantic~ just lovely!
