Antique Cameo, Small Brooch/Pendant

This Antique Shell Cameo can be worn as a brooch or as a pendant. It has hidden gold hardware that flips up for a chain as a necklace and craftily hidden when worn as a brooch. The metal frame is has no 14K stamp seen but the coloring does look like it is, it has a slight discoloration in the gold on the inner back, not visible when worn. I have this piece for many years as an heirloom, sitting my jewelry box. The imagery of the cameo depicts a classic Roman or Greek Matron, a popular theme in the Victorian era.
