Antique Celluloid Doll On A Stick Stuffed Lurex Dress Sewn In Wig Carved Hair This doll comes from a German-American estate, so I believe the doll to originate from Germany or USSR Soviet Union. She has a celluloid head and hands, stuffed torso, and wire arms connecting the shoulder to the hands. The owner of this doll was a seamstress and has sewn this dress onto the body and also sewn in a wig to the head. As such, I cannot research any markings on the doll without cutting open the dress. The dress is a beautiful lurex knit with a Vliseline lining. She measures 20 in. from top to bottom. Her face is painted, blue eyes, open mouth, two front teeth, original brown-painted carved hair.
