Antique Celluloid Traveling Dresser Box with Pastoral Windmill Scene

Circa early 1900’s, this ivory colored celluloid covered box has the original silk lining (albeit stained, shattered & very worn) & wood underparts with lever/stays in the larger top section. Those pieces were gone when I bought it @ an antique shop in the early 90’s. I cut a mirror to fit the bottom and later, lightly glued a flat silk pillow to it. (Kept my jewelry from rolling around) It was meant to hold your fancy brushes, combs, hand mirror, shoe button hooks & dresser boxes when you travelled. The mirror went in the lower right of the top. My finger shows where the mirror’s edge fit, then the levers were closed over top. (My mirror was too thick to demo) Please zoom in to view areas of celluloid loss, staining & wear.
