You are looking at a fine example of an Antique Chinese "Champleve" Bronze and Enamel Table Lamp. Made during the Qing Dynasty colonial period.
Champlevé enameling is a decorative arts technique that involves carving, etching, or casting recesses into a metal surface, then filling them with vitreous enamel and firing until fused. The word champlevé means "raised fields". The uncarved metal creates patterns on the enamel's surface, acting as a frame for the design. In medieval work, the uncarved portions were often gilded.
The lamp is finely detailed with a dragon motif, including dragon handles and face.
The lamp is in perfect working condition and includes a midnight blue/black with gold interior lamp shade.
