Georgian rice bowl decorated in the blue and red of Pattern No. 1984, known as "The Doll‘s House" pattern. (See David Holgate ‘New Hall’, Page 71 Plate 32 and Page 206 Plate 324.) The pieces are not marked, but are made of the hybrid hard paste characteristic of New Hall. Spode also produced the Doll’s House pattern but there the colouring of the house is reversed with a blue roof on the left hand side instead. New Hall manufactured porcelain in Shelton, Staffordshire between 1781 and 1835. Most patterns were either floral or chinoiserie.
