Antique Chinese Opera Doll Original Clothing Male

This exquisite male Chinese Opera doll is from the late 1800’s. The unique dolls, or puppets, were sold to the aristocrats and patrons of the Chinese opera as souvenirs. This male doll has his original silk costume, sculpted and real horse hair, hand painted dramatic makeup to depict the character, and an interior unstuffed body form with carved wooden feet and hands designed for use at hand puppets.
