Antique Crystal Triangular Nappy with Gold Rim Hartford Design, circa 1899 Height: 2 1/2" Length: 5 1/2" HARTFORD, aka, Heart with Thumbprint and was crafted by Tarentum Glass Company in Tarentum, PA. The Company Operated: 1894-1918. A nappy is a shallow serving dish with a flat bottom and sloping sides. Traditionally these dishes are used for snacks such as candy or nuts. I love to use as a bowl to display my gemstones, and it's handle makes it easy to carry outside to charge gemstones under a full moon.
