Antique Damascene Belt Inlaid with Gold and Silver Hand Engraved

Antique Japanese damascene belt which features a series of unique hand inlaid plaques that run the length of the belt. Each plaque is different and is made using blackened iron which has been inlaid with gold or silver threads. On the reverse of the belt a series of images from nature has been etched by hand into the brass backing showing an uncanny attention to detail on the artists part.
