Antique vintage Elgin pocket watch. Needs the crystal glued back. It does seem to run. I posted a video of it ticking along. It’s not gold, but pretty sure it’s gold filled. May need to be cleaned.

hi I am a jeweler in Illinois, judging by the movement style and what appear to be lower numbers its@ 1897- 1910 . cleaning ,oiling and if it doesn't require any parts, cost about 150 -200.00 the case appears to be a 25 year guarantee. if you can find a repairman also, hand looks bent, too! .not trying to knock it ,trying to give you some more knowledge, for when someone asks you later . good luck ,and have a nice day.

@richardlowe274 all pocket watches are that way. When you pull out of your pocket and flip open, you look at the time with the winding stem to the side.

@richardlowe274 technically it's set up a bit more functionally this way: with the 3 hour hand next to the post, when you're looking at the time in your left hand and the face is open it's secured in your palm.
I know a lot of newer pocket watches are set more up-down, but this was more common and showed it to be a functional piece
