bazaargirl This is a reproduction of an original by James Alexander Simpson currently housed in the Cannon Hall Museum in England. The artist correctly signed her name, however, the word, "original" in the listing is incorrect. Please be careful in your wording choice in the listing. Billions of $ has been litigated over both the intentional and unintentional provenance of art.

neenieh Hello. This painting is not that old. You can date it by the fact that the canvas appears to be held onto the wood stretcher by staples -- I think I see a staple in the one photo of the back. This is most likely done around the 1970s or 1980s. Older canvases used nails to hold the canvas in place. Also, as pointed out by another commenter, it is not an original composition -- it is a copy.
