Antique Footed Centerpiece Fruit Bowl (Compotier), Transferware by Johnson Bros

Made circa 1903-1913 by Johnson Bros, England, this pattern is The Valencia Lace. This footed compote can adorn your kitchen counter or island, or table, filled with grapes or lemons or apples, or even evergreens, as a centerpiece for your holiday table. Versatile and beautiful, yet functional and graceful. 4.75” tall from bottom of base to top edge of bowl. 10.25” diameter Given the age of this item, there is wear around the edge of the bowl & the foot; but not on the pattern itself, nor are there any chips or cracks on this piece. There are 3 small stains on the bottom of the bowl (see photo;) however, this is typical of its age & use over time. I note a light smudgy spot on the foot’s pattern but that’s been there since this piece was made. Sure, it’s a flaw but it’s not due to injury of the item. Smoke-free, pet-free home. This is a rare item that deserves a loving home❣️
