Antique Framed Rectangular Nimes Arena France Picture

I love the unique size of this antique painting. It came from a barn on an estate that had been in the same family since the 1860s. I am not sure the exact date of this piece but it's most certainly antique! It depicts Arena of Nimes, Roman ruins in France. The arena was built around 100 CE, shortly after the Colosseum of Rome, and it is one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world. The frame and glass are in good condition, but as you can see the print itself has signs of wear. Personally, I think these add to the patina and charm of the piece! It measures 23.5" x 9.5". This would look great as part of a gallery wall with other similar art or over a doorway.
