Antique Georgian 14kt gold hair mourning seed pearls garnets beaded necklace

Excellent condition, this museum-quality piece of mourning jewelry dates to the late 1700s-early 1800s and features a solid 14kt yellow gold clasp with beautifully braided light blonde hair (likely that of a child based on color) under glass and framed by delicate seed pearls. Clasp anchors two strands of genuine tested Bohemian garnet polished beads spaced by 7 larger pearls. Total weight is 27.23 grams. Box clasp functions perfectly. Please see photos for measurements.
