At nearly 250 years old, this piece dates to around 1780 and is in very good antique condition. The Limoges style porcelain scene features a well yet simply dressed Georgian man seated on a wooden chair or stool surrounded by greenery on a bright day. The porcelain is backed by a slice of mother of pearl, part of which is missing but this doesn't affect the integrity of the piece. Each steel cut "gemstone" is of the very early multi-faceted variety, giving the setting some very special sparkle. Metal has dulled slightly over the centuries but has not at all lost it's charm. Brooch rear pin is fully functional and features the very early tube hinge and c-clasp.
