Antique German Relief Wall Plaque Woman Pre 1885 Dresden Porcelain Hand Painted

This is an incredible, very old antique porcelain piece from Germany. The red letters on the back are mold numbers. There is paint on the back so I am unable to find the back stamp of the particular maker. The decorative wall plaques of this era are called “relief plaques” because the figurine comes out of the porcelain. This piece has a crack across the nose and wear on the gold gilt edging. However I see no cracks or crazing. There may be tips of the finger off and I took a photo of that for you. This is a highly collectible piece and probably from about 1850. There are holes on the back for you to put a ribbon to hang this on your wall. It could also be displayed on an easel. This is a simply gorgeous piece. It is interesting that the artist appears to have given her eyes a different look. Was it reminiscent of someone the painter knew?hmmm There’s no doubt this is a great, shabby, chic, antique, original decor piece.
